I can't believe it is already May! Summer is just around the corner! There is a lot going on this month, starting with the D.A.R.E Festival on the 10th. Please make sure your student wears their D.A.R.E shirt that day and remembers a sack lunch!
Field day is on the 13th. We are making bandannas to wear instead of t-shirts. Please send sunblock and water.
The last day for AR points is the 11th. The "reading centers" will be set up on the 19th for students to spend their points.
Finally, we are planning to do a GPS activity on the 20th. For the past few years, Carrie, Cody, Levi and Sam Koch have led the 5th grade in an "Amazing Race" type activity. Using GPS units, groups of students travel to different locations in search of pieces to a puzzle. Please send a sack lunch as well as sunblock. We will be spending the majority of the day outside. Parents are welcome to attend. More information will be coming home soon!
